The Pope Audio BAX 2020 Beast takes the musical Baxandall EQ concept and pushes it further into colour, weight, and harmonic drive. With simple high and low frequency controls, it is designed for broad tonal moves that feel natural on sources, stems, and buses while still letting you dial in more attitude when needed.
The Beast version uses Avedis 1122 discrete op-amps on both the input and output, with a transformer-balanced output stage for added flavour and saturation. Drive the input harder for more personality, or leave it in hard bypass when you want the signal untouched. Hand-built in the UK, the BAX 2020 Beast is ideal for engineers who want the elegance of a Bax EQ with a more character-forward sonic footprint.
